Patience Pays Off For Wendy Krispin Premier Caterer For Dallas Residents
“Catering chose me,” says Wendy Krispin. “After working a few catered events through Marty’s Gourmet here in Dallas, I instantly loved the pace, the preparation, and the service part of the job. I wasn’t drawn to long hours in a kitchen as much as the creativity and the people part of food service.”
Since 1992, Wendy Krispin Caterer has provided food, staff, and party planning services to hundreds of clients and thousands of pleased guests. Krispin currently caters around seventy-five weddings per year, numerous corporate events, and house parties. Just last week Krispin’s company catered the Episcopal School of Dallas Annual Auction and Gala at the Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum featuring Don Henley, founding member of The Eagles and singer of the classic “Boys of Summer” tune.
After hearing that Henley considered Caddo Lake his sanctuary, Krispin’s company leaped into action, creating a legendary evening with family-style East Texas fare. Featuring the lush scenery of a sunset lake, cypress trees, fishing poles, and oars, it’s safe to say Krispin crafted a night even Don Henley won’t forget any time soon.
Wendy Krispin has maintained a clear catering vision with expert standards, artfully creating memorable events based on fabulous food since day one, but it didn’t happen overnight. A ten-year odyssey of discovering the right sciences and methods behind proper food preparation, styles of menus, event presentation, service techniques, all the way down to flower arrangements, helped Krispin acquire the robust catering knowledge she puts to good use every day at work.
Like any hobby, trade, or profession, a catering business doesn’t flourish overnight, and that isn’t lost on Krispin. In fact, Krispin’s patience has helped her company evolve into a thriving enterprise. “Like all things, the more you do it, the better you become,” says Krispin. “That is the case in the catering business, too.”
Luckily, Krispin’s catering crew is equal parts adaptable, resourceful, and resilient. Knowing that so many things could potentially go wrong, yet so much feels right, seems to bring Krispin more and more customers each passing year.
Every life consists of a series of memories, and making those memories last is hard work. The skills and the wisdom required to consistently put on events that linger in the minds of guests is one Wendy Krispin Caterer has slowly acquired over decades. The people of Dallas recognize that controlled pace is one that reflects precision, passion, and commitment.
