Lakewood Area Residents Kick Back And Congregate At Cock And Bull Neighborhood Pub
At the Cock and Bull Neighborhood Pub, you really do get the feeling that everybody knows your name. Regardless of whether you’re a first timer, or a constant regular, the staff at this quaint establishment will make you feel like home every time you walk through the door. Having been in the community for over 20 years, this eatery has proven it has what it takes to earn the title of your neighborhood pub.
“Cock & Bull Neighborhood Pub is your quintessential neighborhood bar but with high quality food,” states Shawn Tang, Owner of Cock and Bull Neighborhood Pub. “We cater to regulars and it is a place you expect the bartenders to know your name.” Tang boasts that they treat everyone like family, regardless of how many times they’ve visited the Cock and Bull. “It’s a great place to come to relax and have some great food and drinks,” he says.
The Pub focuses on a different special daily, with that day’s option listed on the chalkboard for everyone to see. Happy Hour runs from open until 8 pm, with several unique daily drink specials, such as Service Industry Night on Mondays, $2.50 Domestic Bottles on Tuesdays, and Half-price Wine by the Glass on Wednesday (as listed on the website).
When it comes to the menu, there’s a veritable selection of pub foods, adding to the atmosphere. “Our Rueben Melt and Kobe Bull dog have been recognized by D Magazine and Dallas Observer in previous years,” says Tang.
When it comes to recognitions for food, service, and atmosphere, there’s no shortage there. The Cock and Bull Neighborhood Pub has been awarded the 2015 Dallas A-list Award for Best Neighborhood bar in Dallas and listed as one of Four Square’s 15 Best Bar Food in Dallas 2016. “We have been nominated and won various categories in the Best of Dallas many years running,” details Tang.
“We are always looking at updating our menu. We recently expanded to add a sister pub called The Whistling Pig Neighborhood Pub located near the Dallas Arboretum.” The Pub was also recognized for having one of the best beer selections in Dallas. “Come on in and have one with us,” says Tang.
